A Cloudy Day

Today we braved the bipolar Adelaide weather and headed into town to do some serious shopping! As the Adelaide Fringe is currently on, there was plenty for us to look at as we wandered around!

For lunch, Kate had a chai latte from Gloria Jeans and a lemon pepper chicken salad with lettuce, cucumber and avocado. Lianna got a multi-grain focaccia with chicken breast, spanish onion, lettuce, tomato, avocado and cucumber.

Birthday Dinner

Today was Lianna's birthday so we went out to dinner to celebrate at the Cremone. It was a lovely night!

It was a delicately decorated space filled with creative chandeliers, candles and glass decor. Lianna ordered salt & pepper squid with salad and Kate ordered battered fish and chips with salad. The meals were so huge! We felt like we were going to explode! But we did manage to have some room for cake....

An Island Escape

On one of the sunnier days of our holiday, we went for a stroll across to the beautiful Granite Island. The weather was perfect for a paddle in one of the small, lagoon like coves - we were so sad that we didn't wear our bathers!

We got a slice of lemon tart to share and two iced coffees at the Granite Island Cafe - perfect to enjoy sitting in the sun looking out to sea!

On the way home we also took a wander around the Victor Harbour carnival and visited the lovely horses that pull the tram to and from Granite Island.

Relaxing Waters

On the last day of our summer getaway, the sun finally came out enough for us to brave a swim! We floated around relaxingly in rubber tubes at Encounter Lakes, a quiet lake without much wind - perfect for a warm day!

And the perfect snack to accompany a swim in the sun? Hot chips and peach iced tea, of course!

A Grey Day

With the sun hidden away on what was supposed to be our summer holidays, we decided we needed a window shop, coffee and slice of cake to rejuvenate our spirits. We wandered the main street in Victor Harbour, spending the most time in Interno, a beautiful shop filled with inspiring furniture and decor.

After having a wander through the shops, we stopped for a caffeine hit at a cosy little cafe called Two Bees. Their mis-matching vintage plates and cutlery were just adorable! Lianna got a lemon and vanilla cupcake and a flat white and Kate got a caramel slice and a chai tea. Yum!
