Saturday Lunch Date

Today we were both bored at home so we decided to brave the terrible weather and pop into town for some lunch.

We went to Deli On Pultney which was surrounded by a park and had the loveliest waitressing staff! Lianna got a ham and cheese crossaint and a blueberry smoothie and Kate got a bacon, egg and cheese foccacia and a mango smoothie. Yum!
We did a bit of shopping after lunch and wandered into a pet shop to look at the puppies. We were way too excited when we walked down the stairs and came face to face with PUG PUPPIES. Aaaaaaaah!

 

So so so so so cute!

Melbourne - Day 6

The last day of our Melbourne holiday was made up of dodgy buses, airports, waiting and feet so sore we were seriously considering hiring a gopher.

We got a morning caffeine hit at nice cafe (which was much needed as by this stage we were practically the walking dead)

Lianna got a ham & cheese crossaint and an iced coffee and Kate got a berry muffin and a cappacino.
Since we had what seemed like a 16 decade wait at the airport, we also got lunch whilst we were there.

Crispy skin chicken salad with tomatoes, avocado, lettuce and mayonaise and mango yogurt.

Melbourne - Day 5

On the fifth day of our Melbourn adventures we shoppedd around Spencer Street and some DFO's. You'll have to excuse the squinty eyes in most of our photos - it was a wee bit sunny!

After looking through the DFO's, we got lunch at a madly over-priced cafe and some Starbucks.

Toasted foccacias with chicken, avocado and sundried tomatos for both of us, a caramel frapacino for Lianna and a caramel hot chocolate for Kate. Yum!

Melbourne - Day 4

On day four of our holiday we hit up Chapel Street for some serious shopping! (Which really should be considered an olympic sport, we lost count of how many band-aids we went through. Our feet will never be the same, R.I.P)

We took the tram to Chapel Street (the tram system could be in chinese for all we understood of it) and started our shopping. We were in heaven when we came across Matt Blatt's store. So much amazing furniture and decor!

After drooling over this amazing moroccan armchair, we stopped by a lovely modern looking cafe for lunch.

Turkey baguettes with brie, rocket and cranberry sauce and juices. Delish! After shopping throughout Chapel Street, we detoured through the Botanic Gardens on the way home. By that time the sun was out and it was just beautiful!
